Bird Cake,Quick and Easy.

Winter can be harsh for most of us,but right now,birds need our help in feeding with food being difficult to find.

Below is our Bird Table full of Seed and Birds love it.

If you don’t have any Bird Beed or Fatballs then try this quick easy Bird Cake from the RSPB.

The RSPB Website is fun packed and full of helpful information on all wildlife in and around your garden.

You can learn so much from here and pass your knowledge onto children and inspire them to look after nature,everyone can get involved.

From the Kitchen you can use:

I have Checked on line else where for the foods below and are good for the birds and watching them enjoy is rewarding.

Porridge Oats.
Fruit like an Apple,chopped in to quarter pieces or smaller.
Seeds used in everyday cooking.
Peanut Butter Fatball(basic Peanut Butter)
Grated Cheese.

The Picture above is a used Cocunut Shell filled with Peanut Butter,you can insert Suet with Rasins or Currants,or any other fruit,such as an apple chopped up.

You can buy Bird Cake that comes allready prepared to insert into a feeder,like the one below.


Essential for the birds also is fresh water,with out water in the winter the birds can’t drink or bathe themselves to clean their feathers,you can any container or a cocunut shell halved.

Rspb have launched the Big Garden Bird Watch for 2018.

You will need to sign up with the Rspb and enter some basic details then you will
be directed to the main download link.

Help give nature a home by following clickable links to Bees,Butterflies,Frogs,Moths and more.

Each link can give you advice on how to help,feed,and create a home.

On each of the links you will see a time of how long you may need to spend to help you succeed in helping Nature.

I have signed up with the RSPB,to try and help especialy with frogs,bees,moths.

You can get all the help,info and how to get started,their is even a counter displayed on each nature project as well as a shop for bird boxes bees and insect homes.

Some facts about Clover:

Red or White,Bees love them.

White Clover is from Eurasia,and was introduced as a Source of Forage and Hay by the Farming Community.

Most Bees that visit Clover to collect the Nectar or Suck it,have Long Tongues,and the shape of the flower encourages them.

Clover is edible and abundantly available and widespread,everywhere you go,you will see clover.
We don’t take advantage of it,and the best thing is it’s free,and it could be in your garden.

4 Make Tea with them,wait till the leafs and pods are dried.

Their is an abundance of information on the Internet,some people have different experiences,and lots of ideas about Clover.
